Pulled my berkey out of storage where it had been for 8 years. Made of high quality 304 food grade stainless steel no plastic food grade silicone washers. If the leak is coming from the spout tighten the round pedestal underneath the lever clockwise. If the leak is at the bottom chamber ensure that the washers are set up properly.

If so tighten the spigot nut. Features fast flow rate and a quarter turn ball valve design for secure and easy access. The spigot on my royal berkey started leaking so i ordered a stainless steel replacement. See if the leak is coming from the spout where water is supposed to come out of or from where the spigot meets the bottom chamber.

I ve figure a way to turn it upside down after each use so it won t leak. Install the white washer with the beveled edge towards the stainless steel container insert the threaded nipple of the berkey spigot into the hole in the bottom of your berkey system. I don t over tighten but they both leak. Does not fit berkey light or go berkey.

However i still have a puddle. The spigot was leaking initially. May be purchased as a replacement to the standard spigot not compatible with berkey sight glass spigot. Install the black washer and then the hex nut onto the threaded nipple of the spigot.

The replacement spigot arrived promptly and it was easy to install. The berkey stainless steel spigot can be used on any of our stainless steel systems in place of the standard plastic spigot. Berkeylove berkeylife berkey we bought the new stainless steel spigot for our berkey and changed it this morning. Includes two food grade silicone washers stainless steel washers and wingnut.
